Thomson, occupied the chair and in his opening remarks he intimated that the Otago Council of Scottish Societies would be holding its annual ball in the near future and also that the annual meeting of the society would be held shortly. The programme comprised songs by Mrs Middlemas; piano accordion solos by Master Grame McMurray; an Irish jig by Miss May Galvin; and a Sean Truibhais by Miss Daphne Milne, the piper being Mr H.
