Rugby Tourists Appreciate Dunedin Thoughtfulness
The thoughtfulness of some Dunedin business firms has been much appreciated by the British Isles Rugby Union team. Noticing from reports that some of the visiting forwards were on the light side, one firm sent up a generous consignment of confectionery to build them up. Another, anxious to ensure bodily warmth and comfort after the passage through the tropics, sent presents to each member of woollen goods; while a third, in case of homesickness, sent one or two familiarly labelled containers so 'that there should be some well-remembered sights to welcome the. “Blue Bonnets When They Come Over the Border.” Wonderful as the receptions in New Zealand have been to date, Dunedin’s forethought, as an earnest of the welcome to come, has been greatly appreciated by the party.
