CONSERVATIVE GAINS
English Municipal Elections N&PA—Copyright LONDON, May 12. With results declared by 368 of 378 cities and towns throughout England and Wales which went to the polls yesterday in the provincial municipal elections, the Conservatives have made a net gain of 211 seats. Labour has had a net loss of 82 seats. Gains and losses of the various parties are:—Conservatives 276, 65; Labour, 123, 205; Liberals, 15, 37; Independents, 57. 164.
