RESOLUTION OF PROTEST
Conical Hills Timber Workers A general meeting of the Conical Hills sub-branch of the New Zealand Timber Workers’ Union carried a resolution, without a dissenting vote, ‘‘emphatically protesting against the unwarranted removal of subsidies on the basic necessities of life, and the increase in railway rates and fares, thus placing a further heavy load on the already overburdened shoulders of the worker.”
