IN THE MATTER of “ The Tramways Act, 1908,’’ and its amendments AND IN THE MATTER of an Order-in-Council dated the sixth day of February One thousand nine hundred and twenty-four and an Order-in-Council dated the twenty-fourth day of August One thousand nine hundred and three AND IN THE MATTER of an application by the Council of the City' of Dunedin for a further Order-in-Council revoking such first-mentioned Order and portion of such second-mentioned Order PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Council of the City of Dunedin to apply to his Excellency the Governor-General-in-Council for an Order-in-Council pursuant to “ The Tramways Act, 1903,” and its amendments revoking the abovementioned Order-in-Council dated the sixth day of February One thousand nine hundred and twentyfour authorising and empowering the Council of the City of Dunedin to construct maintain and use within the said City and along the route specified and described in such Order-in-Council a tramway subject to the regulations and upon the terms and conditions therein contained such tramway being the whole of the tramway known as the Opoho section And revoking the abovementioned Order-in-Council dated the twenty-fourth day of‘August One thousand nine hundred and three authorising and empowering the said Council to construct maintain and use within the said City and along the routes therein specified and described in clauses one (1) two (2) three (3) four (4) five (5) six (6) of the section of the said Order entitled “ Description of the Tramway Routes within the City of Dunedin ” lines of tramway in respect of and in so far only as it relates to portion of Route Number 3 and to Route Number 4 such tramways being part' of the tramways known as the Castle street and Howe street routes. A draft of the proposed Order-in-Council has been deposited and will remain open for public inspection at the Town Clerk’s Ollice Municipal Chambers Dunedin during office hours for the period of four weeks from the first publication of this notice.
