FIRST CUP RACE
Green Island Cycling Club The Green Island Cycling Club held its first cup race for the 1950 road season on Saturday for the Donors Cup. The course was from Mosgiel to Outram bridge and return, a distance of 12 miles. The first of a series of five races for junior riders to decide the winner of a cup presented last year by Mr J. Ross was also held on Saturday:— Results: — , _ _ Cup Race.—R. Little (smin) 1, D. Bryce (smin) 2. R. Jenks (7min) 3, W. McClenaghan (7min) 4, D. Eade (7min) 5, D. R. Ralston (smin) 6. Fastest time: W. Whiston (scr), 29min 37sec. Second fastest time: Don. Ralston (scr), 29min 37sec. Junior Race. —M. Crane 1, K. Hill 2, B. King 3. G. Watt 4. W. Jackson 5.
