Tasmanian Assembly LIBERALS LOSE SEAT IN COUNT Deadlock Resolved NZP A—Copyright Rec. 11 p.m. HOBART, May 12. The Tasmanian election count which ended today gave the Labour Party 15 seats in the House of Assembly, the Liberals 14, and Independent 1. The successful Independent, Mr W. G. Wedd, has offered co-operation with all parties, which is regarded as an indication that he will accept the Speakership if ' asked. This is believed to be the likely coifrse. i The result has resolved the political deadlock, but it is almost certain that an early electoral convention to avoid future trouble will be held. Prior to the election Labour held 15 seats, Liberals 13, and Independents 2. Before this count the state of the parties was. announced as: Labour 15, Liberals 15, Independent none.
