Six Special Trains THREE FROM SOUTH

Six special passenger trains, in addition to the usual expresses, will run to Dunedin from surrounding districts for the first Rugby test against the British team on May 27. Three special trains will come from Invercargill, and one will arrive from Christchurch, another from Oamaru and a third from Tahakopa, on the Catlins River branch line.

The special trains from Invercargill will arrive at Dunedin at 6.28 p.m. and 10.28 p.m. on May 26, and at 10.35 a.m. on the day of the test. They are all in addition to the four expresses which normally arrive here in those two days. One of the specials will return to Invercargill at 6.20 p.m. on May 27, and the other two at 4.25 p.m. and 5 p.m. on the following day.

From Christchurch, a special train will arrive on May 27, at 7.55 a.m., in addition- to the usual express which arrives at 6.50 a.m. The special train will leave on its return % .to Christchurch on the same day at 11.15 p.m. A special train will leave Oamaru at 7.30 a.m. on May 27 arid will arrive at Dunedin at 10.55 a.m. The return train will leave Dunedin at 6.45 p.m. and arrive in Oamaru at 10.5 p.m. From Tahakopa, a special train will leave ,at 7.30 a.m. on May 27 and arrive at Dunedin at 12.13 p.m. The return train will leave Dunedin at 5.30 p.m.

Besides arranging special trains for the Rugby test, the Railways Department has also made alterations to suburban train time tables. The usual 6.25 a.m. train from Palmerston will not leave Palmerston till 8.10 a.m., so that it will arrive in Dunedin at 10.33 a.m. Where possible all trains will set down and pick up passengers at Caversham and Kensington.
