FARES INCREASED
Central Otago Taxi Services
The Transport Charges Committee has granted the application of taxi operators in the Central Otago area for increases of approximately 20 per cent, on the current fare schedule. In Lawrence, Roxburgh, Alexandra, Cromwell and Queenstown fares up to a quarter of a mile are to be 2s, and over two miles and a-half and up to three miles, ss. ' Fares at the rate of Is per cab mile, with a minimum charge of 2s are to be charged in other districts.
