Depleted Supplies Augmented
A small shipment of Australian lemons is expected to reach Oamaru early next week. There are not many Delicious apples reaching the market, the majority coming forward being of small size. Tree tomato supplies are increasing slightly, and these are meeting with a steady demand. Prices ruling during the week were:— . , . Fruit.—Apcles: Jonathans, 6s 6d to 10s 6d case; Delicious, 7s 6d case; Statesman, 6s 6d to lCs 6d case; Ballarats, 7s to 12s 6d case; Lord Wolsele.vs, 7s to 12s case. Pears: Winter Coles, 8s half-case, 20s bushel case; Winter Nelis, 18s small sized. 20s case. Tomatoes: Local hothouse, Is to Is 8d lb; outside, 3d to 9d lb. Passion fruit, 11s to 15s case. Tree tomatoes, 5d to lOd lb. Vegetables.—Hothouse cucumbers, 16s case. Cabbage, 3s 6d to 7s dozen. Cauliflowers, 3s 'fid to 11s dozen. Pumpkins, 2d to 2Jd lb; marrows.
