Match Against Yorkshire DIFFICULT BATTING CONDITIONS NZPA—Copyright LONDON, May 10. On a rain-damaged pitch, 20 wickets fell today for 223 runs in the match West Indies v. Yorkshire, at Bradford. Yorkshire, sent in to bat, was all out for 91. Yorkshire lost four wickets for 65 runs in two hours before lunch, and six wickets for 26 runs in 40 minutes after the adjournment. Npne of the batsmen could cope with a turning, lifting ball. The West Indies batsmen also found the pitch all against batting. The spin bowler Ken Smailes was in deadly form. He took the wickets of Rae, Trestrail, and Goddard in four balls. The West Indies, however, managed to lead Yorkshire by 41 runs on the first innings.
