Scotland’s Whisky Exports To North America
Rec. 7 p.m. .LONDON, May 10. Scotland exported 8,521,000 gallons of whisky in 1949, of. which Americans and Canadians drank about 70 per cent. This was shown in an official review of industry and employment issued by the Scottish Office today. Whisky exports were valued at £18,788.000, and totalled 626,000 gallons more than in 1948 and 1,750.000 gallons more than in 1947.
