CAPPING PROCEEDS
Given To Tuberculosis Association CHEQUE FOR £1550 A cheque for £1550 was handed to Mr G. A, . Russell, the chairman of committees of the Otago Tuberculosis Association, during the interval of the capping concert last night on behalf of the Otago University Students’ Association by the capping controller, Mr P. W. E. Macpherson. The sum, which represented money collected for the association by the students, was a record collection. Tine Mayor, Sir. Donald Cameron, who is also president of the association, and the president of the Students’ Association, Mr J. McCoy, were also on the stage for the ceremony. The proceeds from the capping celebrations counted yesterday amounted to £1557 10s, and the balance, together with more money 'Which is expected, _ will also be given to the association.
