Dr and Mrs R. S. Aitken have left for a short holiday at Wanaka. Dr Helen Thomson and Miss Sylvia Thomson are on a visit to Christchurch. ‘Mrs Bevan Dodds, St. Clair, left yesterday for a holiday in Oamaru. Sir Thomas Hunter, of Wellington, is the guest of Mr and Mrs Mark Hanan, London street. Mrs A. H. Marsh, who arrived on the Ceramic from England, is the guest of Mrs A. H. McLeod. Arthur street. Miss Lily Stevens was hostess at a morning tea party yesterday at the Savoy in honour of Miss Joan Watts, visiting examiner for the Royal Academy of Dancing. Among the New Zealanders presented to their Majesties at a presentation parly at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday afternoon were Miss Ann Borrie, of North Otago, and Miss Mary Byars, of Gore.
