UNION OF TOWNSWOMEN
Annual Meeting Of Dunedin Branch The annual meeting of the Dunedin branch of the Union of Townswomen s Guilds was held in the Pioneer Women s Memorial Rooms last night. The membership now stood at 105. reported the secretary, Mrs J. Jennings, and a satisfactory balance sheet was read. Mrs J Starr, the president, thanked members for their loyaltv during a difficult year, and expressed the hope that the guild would prosper and be able to give useful service during the ensuing year. It was decided to decorate a table for the forthcoming display to be held for the Dr Barnardo Homes Fund. The table will be laid as for a party given by Captain Cargill to some of his contemporaries in Otago, and members were asked for the loan of, early Victorian table ware. Office-bearers elected for the ensuing year were: Patroness, Lady Cameron; president, Mrs J. Stair; hon. vice-presi-dent, Ladv Sidey; vice-presidents, Mrs H. Hamer and Mrs E. T. Seymour; secretary, Mrs J. Jennings; treasurer, Mrs C. Richardson; committee -Mesdames G. Columbus, S. Hanvey, M. Hore. W. Roy. G. Ramsay. J Wallace. W. White, and Miss J. Kaye.
