The Waikato Racing Club’s winter meeting will be opened at Te Rapa tomorrow, when the principal events will be the Waikato Hurdles and the Frankton Steeplechase. The double will be operated on the Hamilton Handicap and the Maeroa Handicap. Selections are:— 11.0: Matangi Hack Hurdles.—First division: Master Arthur, Foxlyn, Euryalus. Second division: Paul, Redingote, Lord Holland. 11.45: Te Rapa Plate.—First division: Thinker, Hunting Flight, Bob’s Own. Second division: Balham. Spiteful Lad, Herowin. 12.30: Waikato Hurdles.—Vienna View, Ruling Master, Folkestone. 1.20: Hamilton Handicap.—Akbar. Happy Issue, Lord Elgin. 2.10: Gordonton Hack Handicap.—First division: Con Spirito, State Control, Tossup. Second division: Rhett Butler, Kittyshah, Trusting. 3.0: Maeroa Handicap.—Chatrill. Ututere, Tiger Tan. 3.50: Frankton Steeplechase.—Hazsoult, Colonel Smart, Duke Royal. 4.40: Whatawhata Hack Handicap.— Mark Off, Reliance, Mary Marvel.
