Effect Of Power Cuts PA WELLINGTON, May 10. “We have given the matter consideration, but we cannot see our way clear to make any alteration in the power cuts at present,” said the chairman of the Wellington City Council Transport and Electricity Committee. Mr W. H. Stevens, today. He was asked to comment on the suggestion made at a meeting of the NZRFU Executive that the broadcasting authorities should see if the cuts could not be waived on those Saturdays when Rugby tests are played. The power cut in Wellington on Saturdays is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The NZRFU has made no decision regarding Starting times in the test matches, but it is expected that they will begin at either 2 or 2.30 p.m.
