NEW RISE IN WAGES
Prompt Action By County Council PA WAIROA. May 10. The Wairoa County Council must be one of the first local bodies in New Zealand to deal with the increase in wages which is to follow the subsidy cuts. It has unanimously decided that the same increase as is decided upon by the Government will be given to its employees—retrospective to last Monday.
