BROKEN HILL NORTH
North Broken Hill advise that a diamond drill hole which is being bored in section 48 from the 2600 ft level has encountered ore at a depth of approximately 990 ft below the level. This hole is 1200 ft north of a hole in section 36, where ore was previously reported. It is considered that the hole is encountering the upper portion of the northern ore body, and an extension of the life of the mine is thereby assured.
