FIVE ROOMED HOUSE BRINGS £2275
A five-roomed roughcast house, with a garage, on a freehold section of 24.1 poles at 15 West avenue, St. Kilda, was sold by auction yesterday to a returned serviceman for £2275. Vacant possession was guaranteed. The purchaser was required to buy wall-to-wall carpets and lino, and all the window curtains, valued at £175 About 20 persons attended the sale at Alex. Macdonald’s rooms, and bidding began at £2IOO. The figure rose by £oo bids to £2250, and the auctioneer s hammer fell at £2275.
