Preparing For 1951 Festival Of Britain
Good progress is being made with the building of the Royal Festival Hall on the south bank of the River Thames. This will he the centre of attraction when the Festival of Britain opens in 1951. In the centre of the picture is the Dome of Discovery, a huge aluminium dome which is to be a feature 4 of the exhibition building. Behind the dome the County Hall may bfc seen and on the right the Houses of Parliament.
