ORPHANS’ CLUB OPENS
About 250 members of the Dunedir, Orphans' Club were present at the opening night of the club for the season last night. Ken Smith was the guest artist and was made an honorary member of the club. Bro. J. Young was in the chair. The immediate past president. Bro. G Coughlan. was also present. Items were given by Messrs Vv. Thomson, J. Gordon. P. Dawson, D. Inglis, R. Kerr, W. Brown. I. McDonnell, L. J. Smith and R. S. Waterson.
The only fire call in the city yesterday was received by the Roslyn Station which attended a chimney fire at Selkirk street. Roslyn. at 6.54 p.m.
