Special to the Daily Times OAMARU, May 9. There W'as a good yarding of fat cattle at today's Waiareka sale and prices remained firm to a shade easier. The yarding in the fat sheep section was large and prices also remained firm on late rates. Although only a small yarding of store sheep was offered, these met with slow sale on account of the present feed shortage. Quotations:— Bullocks, £ll 17s 6d to £l4 12s 6d; heifers, £l3 2s 6d to £l4 17s 6d. Cows: Prime, £ls 7s 6d to £l6 17s 6d; light, £7 2s 6d to £9 17s 6d. Fat sheep—Wethers: Prime, 56s 3d to 59s 9d; medium, 53s 9d to 54s 9d; light, 48s 9d to 51s 3d. Wethers: Aged, 43s 9d to 44s 9d; light, 35s to 425; maiden ewes, to 525. Ewes: Prime. 39s to 41s 9d; medium, 32s 9d to 35s 3d: light, 27s to 30s. Fat lambs, 48s to 525. Store sheep: A pen of ewe lambs made 45s 3d; a pen of wether lambs, 31s 6d to 335. Two-tooth wethers, 54s to 565; a pen of aged 275.
