NEW OFFICERS
Dunedin RSA MR K. W. STEWART IS PRESIDENT Mr K. w. Stewart, the only nominee, was appointed president of the Dunedin branch of the New Zealand Returned Services’ Association at _ the annual meeting of members last night. Messrs H. H. Parata and A. W. Barnett, the only nominees, were appointed vice-presidents. The new committee, elected by ballot is (voting in parentheses):— Miss Erla N. Wilson (1894) and Messrs E. O. Dawson (1929), H. P. Dickel (1719), L. G. Mathers (1809), N. Y. A. Wales (1827), F. R. M. Watson (1827), B. H. Wilkinson (1919), N. L. Wilson (1793). A total of 2080 votes was cast, of which 37 were informal. _ The unsuccessful candidate for the committee was Mr L. R. Pearson. The sitting members were Miss Wilson and Mr Wilkinson. The retiring members of the executive, Messrs A. J. H. Jeavons, N. G. Stewart, W. E. Earnshaw, M. S. Myers, C. K. Saxton and S. L. Wilson, were thanked for their services. Other officers appointed were:— Honorary treasurer,. Mr W. P. Wellington; honorary solicitor, Mr P. S. Anderson.
