Fire And Storms In North America TRAIN CRASH IN INDIA Cable messages from overseas report heavy death rolls and property damage as the result of fires, storms, floods, a railway disaster, and an air crash. • / In the Canadian industrial city of Rimouski, damage estimated at 18,000,000 dollars was caused by a night-long fire which spread from the western section of the city and which at one period threatened the centre of the city. Ten casualties were reported but these were hot officially confirmed as being due to the fire. Storms on the north-east coast of the United States have left a toll of at least 20 dead or missing. - 4 In India 81 were killed and 100 injured when the Punjab mail train left the rails near Patna. J ■> Flood waters of the Red River have created a new threat to Winnipeg, where thousands of homes have already been evacuated. In Australia, five men were killed -when a Catalina flying boat crashed.
