CAPITAL FACES EGG SHORTAGE
PA WELLINGTON, May 8. During the next two months, the egg supply position in Wellington is likely to become very acute, according to the general manager of the firm in charge of the local distribution of eggs. He explained that until today, freight and charges on eggs transferred to Wellington from outside egg floors were met by the Government, but this concession had been cut. He added that he could not see producers in outside centres sending eggs to Wellington and taking 4d a dozen less than they would get sellirigtthem in their own districts.
