CITY PROPERTIES SOLD BY AUCTION
A four-roomed wooden nouse, with kitchen, and all modern conveniences, situated at No. 1074 George street, was disposed of by auction by John Reid and Sons, Ltd., yesterday. The land has an area of 12.2 poles, and one of the attractions from the point of view of a buyer was that vacant possession was guaranteed. There was keen bidding from a large attendance of the public, and the hammer fell at £1750. The same auctioneers also sold a fourroomed cottage on a section of eight poles situated at No. 30 Alexandra street. South Dunedin, the price being £650.
