LARGE GATHERING
Eventide Homes METHODIST JUBILEE More than 800 people attended the garden party at the Eventide Homes, Company Bay, on Saturday afternoon, when the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Dunedin Methodist Central Mission began in fine but windy weather. The nurse’s block of the homes was open for public inspection, and the Kaikorai Band gave selections in the grounds. A gymnastiadisplay was also given bv the Central Mission Boys’ Brigade.”and afternoon tea was served by members of the staff and mission workers. The Rev. L. B. Neale extended a welcome to the guests, and Mr R. Walls, member for Dunedin North, in a short address, congratulated the trustees on the work done at the. homes.
