SHOOTING FATALITY
Victim Found In Boat PA GREYMOUTH. May 7. James Edward Boddy, married, aged 24, of Alexander street, Greymouth, was accidentally shot in the abdomen while duck shooting on the Moana side of Lake Brunner on Saturday. Boddy parted company with his friend, James Ferris, early in the morning, and when he failed to turn up at the appointed time Ferris became anxious, and a youth, Keith Kemple, went cut to investigate, finding Boddy in a boat in mai mai growth on the lake. It is thought that death was instantaneous. 5 An inquest was opened at Greymouth today before the district coroner, Mr Fogarty, and adjourned sine die after evidence of identification was given. A post-mortem was ordered.
