Overcast And Cold The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— v Situation. —An anti-cyclone centred over New Zealand is losing intensity, and there is a deepening depression over the North-west Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate southwest winds'developing; weather overcast and cold, with some occasional rain at first. Further Outlook.—Cloudy. Weather in Dunedin.—On Saturday there were 0.04 inches of rain in the city up to 9.30 a.m., but none fell up to the same time yesterday. There were 7 hours 54 minutes of sunshine on Saturday, and 8 hours yesterday. The wind direction changed from north-east on Saturday to south-west yesterday. The maximum temperature yesterday was 56.5 degrees, and the minimum was 49.5 degrees, while on Saturday the maximum was 51.5 degrees and the minimum was 40.9 degrees. The barometer was steady last night, the reading at midnight being 30.10 inches.
