The following instructions, commencing from MAY 8, 1950, are accordingly given to all consumers under the Emergency Control Regulations. 1949, and by Order of this Board:— 1. LIGHTING: / All Advertising Signs and Underverandah Lighting are Totally Prohibited. SHOP WINDOW Lighting is prohibited when shops are closed and during daylight hours. Outside Lighting at residences is totally prohibited. All STREET LIGHTING will be CUT OFF at 12.30 a.m. 2. SPACE HEATING (RADIATORS): All Space Heating (Domestic and Commercial) is prohibited between the hours of 11 and 12 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m., and in addition All Space Heating (Domestic and Commercial) is totally prohibited where other means of heating is available. 3. INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS: All industrial and commercial consumers are requested to reduce their consumption by 10 per cent, below that of last year. 4 ALL CONSUMERS: Power MAY BE CUT OFF the whole of the Board’s area from 1 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. EACH SUNDAY, commencing from SUNDAY.
