The dividend is raised from Hi per cent, to 12i per cent., absorbing £250,000. The gross profit was £2,295,340, compared with £2,133,983 the previous year Depreciation took £208,533. against £198,780. The directors say that merchandise turnover rose, but higher wages and general working expenses more than absorbed the additional revenue.
