NZPA—Reuter— Copyright LONDON, May 3. The Archbishop of Canterbury. Dr Geoffrey Fisher, todav disowned the views on voluntary euthanasia expressed vesterday by Dr Walter Robert Matthews. Dean of St. Paul Cathedral. London. I3r Fishers reprcscn’attve taid. Ur Matthews was expressing purely his persona! opinion and was not speakine for the Church ot England. The archbishop in his personal capacity does not agree with the views exPr Ui- fd Matthews told the Voluntary Euthanasia Legislation Society that he believed intelligent Christian people chould support voluntary euthanasia as advocated by the society.
