Reg. 8.20 p.m. WASHINGTON, Apl. 5. Beer, wine, and whisky may soon become officially “ food ” in the United States. They are among the new food items the Bureau of Labour is pricing each month on an 18-month experimental basis. The bureau is revising the cost-of-living index because American food buying habits are changing. The bureau will include beer, wine, and whisky in the permanent <?bst-of-living index if the survey indicates that Americans are buying those beverages as a normal part of their diet.
