Federation Of Catholic Trades
Unionists NZPA Special Correspondent Rec. 8 p.m. LONDON, Apl. 4. The constitution of a British Federation of Catholic Trade Unionists has been approved. The federation will have an initial membership o| 30,000. Membership is limited to workers in unions affiliated to or eligible for affiliation to the Trades Union Congress. A spokesman for the federation said: “ Obviously we shall always be opposed to Communism because it is the antithesis of all we believe in. But we shall not instruct our members in the policies they are to pursue within their own unions. Our purpose is primarily educational.”
