MANY CHANGES

Department Of Justice PA ' WELLINGTON, Apl. 3. ' Mr P. H. Wylde, chief clerk in the head office of the Department of Justice has been appointed Registrargeneral Births, Deaths and Marriages. This position has hitherto been one of the offices of the Under-secretary of Justice, Mr S. T. Barnett. Mr C.. T. Smallbone, administrative assistant in the head office, has been appointed chief clerk. These and other changes in the de- - i partment were announced by Mr Bar,;<;nett tonight. Mr G. R. Holder, formerly deputy ;•! registrar in the Supreme Court at t • Wellington, has been appointed chief a inspector at head office. .v. When the registrar of the Supreme -" Court at Wellington, Mr A. E. Rey- -. nolds retires, probably in June, his place will be taken by Mr W. Parker, now registrar of the Supreme Court at Christchurch. Mr Parker will be .-.succeeded by Mr G. E. Pollock, now first deputy registrar at Wellington, ■-and Mr H. J. Worthington, deputy registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland, will succeed Mr Pollock. Mr A. Whitaker, registrar of the Supreme Court at Masterton, has been appointed registrar of the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch. Mr S. B. Percy has been appointed from the Supreme Court, Wanganui, to be registrar of the Magistrate’s Court at .Hastings in succession to Mr * W. M. Will, who retired recently. Mr H. C. Whyte, of the Magistrate's Court at Auckland, has been appoin- ’ ted deputy registrar of the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington, a position v that has been vacant for more than '■l2 months.
