Mr V. Molotov, who now controls Russia’s relations with Asia and the Far East, according to British diplomats abroad. They have reported to London that they believe he is negotiating a RussoChinese agreement defining the spheres of influence for the two Governments. Mr Molotov virtually retired from public duties when Mr Vyshinsky succeeded him as Foreign Minister last March. It is now believed that he has been preparing secret Far East plans since then.
