FARMING CONDITIONS Crops In North Otago are looking much Wetter, especially late sown barley and oats. Wheat crops have been affected by the dry conditions and most are thin. It is expected that the wheat available will be well filled and that the heavier growth will make up for lightness. All varieties of small seeds are doing well with the frequent showers. After a period of stagnation in the oats market there has been a decided demand for January-February delivery. The barley crop is expected to yield much better than anticipated. A heavy fall of snow was experienced on the Kakanui ranges from Livingstone to the Dasher on Thursday.
