EXTRA EXPRESSES

WELUNGTON-AUCKLAND LINE PA WELLINGTON, Dec. 29. Extra expresses will run between Wellington and Auckland from January 16 to February 19. This period includes the week of the British Empire Games, which are being held at Auckland from February 4 to 11 inclusive. On some days up to January 28 there will be four expresses, including the daylight limited.

An extra express will leave Wellington at 3.40 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and should arrive at 7.51 a.m. An extra express on the Auck-land-Wellington trip will leave Auckland at 7.35 p.m. from Sunday to Friday, and is due at Wellington at 11.1 a.m. On Saturdays, from January 16 to February 19, expresses will leave Wellington for Auckland at 3 p.m. and 3.40 p.m., and on Sundays at 3 p.m. and 7.15 p.m.

Daylight limiteds will, from January 2 to January 28, leave Wellington at 7.50 a.m- on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and Auckland at 8.10 a.m. on Mondays. Wednesdays and Fridays. Scheduled times of arrival are 10.5 p.m. at Wellington and 9.35 p.m. at Auckland. These expresses will carry hostesses. There will be a minimum of three expresses daily from Wellington to Auckland from Monday to Friday during the period January 16 to February 19, with the daylight limited additional on three days a week. The same will apply to the Auckland-Wel-lington run.
