CONGRESS TO RECONVENE
Bitter Election Year Session Forecast , WASHINGTON, Rec. 9 p.m. Dec - T 2B -, President Truman returned to Washington today after spending the Christmas vacation at his home in Independence, Missouri. The President is expected to deliver his “State of the Union” message to Congress within a few days of its reconvening on January 3. A bitter election year session has been forecast, with demands by Republicans and some sections of Democrats for economy as one •of the chief issues.
The six-year terms of 32 Congressmen expire on January 3, 1951.
