NO NEW TRADE ROUTES
American President Lines HUGE SHIPBUILDING PLANS SAN FRANCISCO, Rec. 9 p.m. Dec. 27. The American President Lines, which announced a 100,000,000-dollar ship construction programme for west coast shipping, said today that it did not plan to open additional trade routes with the new ships which it had ordered. The line will continue to ply the established trade routes across the Pacific to the Far East and operate a round-the-world service, via India and the Mediterranean.
