INTO NORTH TONKING
CHINESE NATIONALIST TROOPS VIET MINH RADIO’S CLAIM NZPA—Copyright Rec. 11.30 p.m. SINGAPORE. Dec. 28. The anti-French Viet Minh radio claimed in a broadcast heard in Singapore that more than 30.000 Chinese Nationalist troops, led by General Pai Chung-hsi. crossed the border into North Tonking between December 12 and December 14. The broadcast added that 10,000 of these troops had already joined French garrisons along the border.
