FINE BUT CLOUDY The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone centred v west of Northland is moving rapidly eastwards across New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate north to west winds. Weather fine but. cloudy and increasing later in the day. Temperatures moderate. Further Outlook.—Some brief raip, probably tonight. Later fair. Weather in Dunedin.—The weather in the city yesterday was similar to that experienced on Monday. Black clouds massed in the sky and there was a heavy rain shower. The rainfall recording was 0 09in, against 0.44 in the previous day. The maximum temperature was 61.6 degrees, and the minimum temperature was 43.9 degrees. The sun shone for a little more than 4£hrs, and there was a wind from the south-west. The barometer rose steadily last night and at midnight the reading was 29.75 in.
