BRILLIANT METEOR SEEN
BLENHEIM-NELSON AREA PA / NELSON, Dec. 27. A brilfliant meteor was seen on Saturday evening by Mr and Mrs L. S. Woodhouse. of Nelson, when they were travelling from Blenheim towards Nelson. They were approaching the Wairaq bridge at 8.15 when the meteor appeared in the western sky, travelling in a south to north direction. It had a reddish blue head and a long tapering tail of vivid blue, fading to red. When the meteor had disappeared behind) the bank of low clouds a blue streak/was still visible across the sky.
