Immunisation Against Whooping Cough
LONDON, Dec. 26. Dr Pearl Kendrick, a leading American expert in the use of vaccine for immunisation against whooping cough, is at present in London conferring with the British Medical Research Council about the methods of developing the use of whooping cough immunisation in Britain. Dr Kendrick said that, although the vaccine at present in use was not IUU per cent, efficient, it had been found bv tests in America that the complaint was six times more prevalent among children who had not been immunised than it was among those who had. Immunisation, to be effective, must be carried out before a child was one year old.
