OPERATING AT LOSS
UNITED STATES TELEVISION COMPANIES NZPA —Copyright WASHINGTON; Dec. 23. Television broadcasting ■ companies lost almost 15,000,000 dollars in 1948, which was the industries first big year of operations. The Federal Communications Commission report, today, showed that every television network and station operated at a loss in 1948.
The report showed that the Income of four television networks apd 50 stations operating was 8,700,000 dollars in 1948, but expenditure was 23,000,000 dollars. >
