BICYCLE TREK
YOUNG COUPLE’S SEARCH FOR HOME 2000-MILE JOURNEY PLANNED PA AUCKLAND, Dec. 26. A young South African couple started a 2000-mile bicycle trek from Auckland today in search of a New Zealand home. They are Mr and Mrs C. W. Trollope, formerly of Johannesburg, who nave been planning this trip for four years. ■ Mr Trollope, who is an outfitter, hopes to take up business in the Dominion. He says it was New Zealand’s green beauty and way <pf life that attracted his wife and himself. “ We are both fond of cycling and decided that this would be the best way of seeing the country and finding the place we would like best,” he said. The Trollopes will follow a rough figure-eight course in their tour. They will travel via the west coast of the North Island, cycle down the east side of the South Island, and after visiting the southern lakes will cycle to Picton via the West Coast. On their return to the North Island they will cycle to Auckland, via Napier. The couple will camp out and carry all the luggage for the trip on their machines.
