QUADRUPLETS BORN
THREE BOYS AND GIRL ALL FAIL TO SURVIVE PA GREYMOUTH, Dec. 26. At Reefton Hospital on Saturday quadruplets were born to Mrs H. Clark, wife of a resident of Reefton. They were three boys and a girl. The babies were approximately 10 weeks premature and weighed an average of 21b each. They were delivered safely, Dr T. L. Wicken, of Reefton, being in attendance. Though cases are known of 21b babies growing into healthy children, little hope was held that these quadruplets would survive, and several hours after its birth on Saturday the first of the quadruplets died, and by 4.30 a.m. yesterday all four had died. The condition of the mother is reported to be satisfactory.
