FIGURES HIGHER
CHRISTMAS BETTING TOTALISATOR RETURNS Totalisator figured for the meetings held over the week-end showed an increase of £30,671 compared with the corresponding figures a year ago. In three cases—the second day ol tne Manawatu- Racing Club’s meeting the Dunedin Jockey Club's meeting and the Gore trots—the totalisator figures were reduced, but elsewhere marked increases were recorded, notably at, the first day of the Auckland Racing Club meeting, where the increase amounted to about £ 17,000.
