DOMESTIC AND PUBLIC SERVICE
Sir,—l notice where the National Party propose to reduce the public service in order to provide domestics for their wealthy friends. According to Mrs H. Ross, National M.P. for Hamilton, by doing away with Government departments girls could be released to solve the domestic problem. We can sympathise with the young working woman with a family and who needs help. But why should young girls be sent into service in order to allow the more favoured section of the community to go out to enjoy themselves? —I am, etc.. You Can’t Beat Me.
